Nordic exchange in experince and high waves!
This weekend 10 Optimist sailors from the Swedish National Team trained in Marstrand. Participating from KSSS was Lukas Bergman, Johanna Sommarlund och Karl Setterberg. 41 sailors participated from four Nordic countries, 14 from Norway, 15 from Norway and 2 from Denmark.
Danish National Team trainer Kim Skovgaard held specialiced training, which contained starting, speed, tecnics and team sailing. Kim Skovgaard was head coach and had help from five other coaches, one of them beeing Charlie Ekberg-Ehnlund. The training started on Thursday with lots of breeze and cold atumn weather. On the Friday was sunny with 12 to 20 knots of breeze. The camp finished with team sailing in sunny weather and light winds. The Swedish sailors showed that the are good at team sailing and won most of their races. The other races were tight and tough.
This year the Finish National Team was hosting, and did so with brilliance. Next year it is Norway's turn.
All sailors come home with lots of new knowledge, but most of all with new friends and experiences.
