1. Rules

1.1 The event will be governed by the rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS).

1.2 Boats may be required to display advertising chosen and supplied by the organizing authority.

1.3 Competitors shall when afloat wear personal flotation devices. This rule does not apply to short-term replacement or adjustment of clothing or personal equipment, or when competitors are in the harbor or under deck. Wet suits and dry suits are not personal flotation devices. This changes RRS 40. A boat that breaks this rule may be warned or penalized at the discretion of the protest committee.

1.4 Swedish competitors shall when racing follow the licensing rules for advertising as decided by the Swedish Sailing Federation.

1.5 Post-race penalties will be applied according to appendix T section B. Appendix T section B states:

T2.1 After a race, a boat that may have broken a rule of Part 2 or rule 31 while racing may take a Post-Race Penalty for that incident. The penalty shall be a Scoring Penalty, calculated as stated in rule 44.3(c). However, rule 44.1 applies.

A boat takes a Post-Race Penalty by informing the race committee in writing and identifying the race number and when and where the incident occurred.

The Post-Race Penalty shall be
(a) 20%, if taken before the protest time limit, or
(b) 30%, if taken after the protest time limit but before the beginning of a hearing involving the incident.

2. Eligibility requirements

2.1 The person in charge onboard the boat shall be a member of his/her Member National Authority or one of its affiliated organisations.

2.2 Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third party liability insurance.

2.3 Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See RRS 4, Decision to Race. The organising authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta.

2.4 The organizers reserve the right to delete, or combine classes to a start if less than 8 boats is enter in a class at the ordinary entry date.

2.5 The person on board that is in charge is required to have a valid racing license issued by the Swedish Sailing Federation.
The requirement applies from the year a contestant turns 13 years.
The requirement applies to persons who are Swedish citizens or who have been resident in Sweden for at least six months the last twelve months before the event starts.

3. Entries

3.1 Entry shall be made online not later than 25 September, 2016 at 

3.2 The entry shall include the following: name of the regatta, race class, letters, sail no., skippers name, address, telephone no., e-mail and yacht club.

3.3 The entry fee is:

Optimist, Laser 4.7, Zoom 8 SEK 400 Late entry SEK 500
Europe Class SEK 500 Late entry SEK 600
Finn, Laser, OK SEK 600 Late entry SEK 700
29er SEK 750 Late entry SEK 850
All Other SEK 850 Late entry SEK 950

The entry fee is paid online at the entry registration.

4. Registration and measurement checks

4.1 Registration shall be made at the race office not later than 1 October 2016 at 09.30.

4.2 Measurement certificate may be requested prior to racing.

5. Sailing Instructions

5.1 The sailing instructions will be handed out upon completion of the registration.

6.2 12 races are scheduled for 29er and 49er. 6 races are scheduled for all other classes.

7. Race format

7.1 If the number of participating boats exceeds 100, the boats can be divided into smaller fleets. Details will be described in the sailing instructions.

8. Racing area

8.1 The racing areas will be Baggensfjärden.

9. The course

9.1 Windward-leeward or trapezoid course will be sailed.

10. Protests and penalty systems

10.1 RRS Appendix P will apply.

11. Scoring

11.1 The low point scoring system of RRS Appendix A will apply, modified so that when three or fewer races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores.

12. Prizes

12.1 KSSS prizes according to the number of entries in each class, one prize for every fifth entry, with a maximum of eight prizes.
