EM i Starbåt på Baggen ställs in 23 maj 2020

Vi hade planerat för en fantastisk regattasommar. EM i Starbåt i Saltsjöbaden i september var definitivt en av höjdpunkterna. Sen kom Covid-19 och ställde allt på ända. Vi ställer nu in en av sommarens toppar i regattaprogrammet.

Det är en prövande tid för oss alla på olika sätt. Vi på KSSS vill bidra till att minska takten av smittspridningen av coronaviruset, men samtidigt erbjuda idrott och aktiviteter på och vid havet på ett säkert sätt. Utifrån detta perspektiv jobbar vi vidare för att sommarens aktiviteter (träningsverksamhet, läger, regattor etc.) ska kunna genomföras med hänsyn taget till gällande råd och rekommendationer.

Men med anledning av restriktioner kring resor i Europa kommer vi inte att få till den folkfest som vi hoppats på och har tillsammans med Internationella Starbåtsförbundet (ISCYRA) beslutat att ställa in Starbåts EM 2020. Starbåts EM skulle gått 1-6 sep.

Tillsammans med ISCYRA tittar vi nu på möjligheterna att arrangera Starbåts EM 2022.

 

ENG - Star European Champinionship cancelled

We had a fantastic regatta summer in front of us. The European Championship in Star Boat at Saltsjöbaden in September was one of the highlights. Then came Covid-19 and put everything in order. We now have to cancel one of the highlights of the summer in the regatta program.

It is a difficult time for all of us in different ways. KSSS want to help reduce the spread of the corona virus, but at the same time offer safe sports and activities around the sea. From this perspective, we continue to work to ensure that summer activities (training activities, camps, regattas, etc.) can be carried out with regard to current advice and recommendations.

However, due to restrictions on travel in Europe, we will not get to the sailors party we were hoping for and together with the Star Class Yacht Racing Association (ISCYRA) we have decided to cancel Star European Championship 2020.

Together with ISCYRA, we are now looking at the possibilities of arranging Star European Championship 2022.
