KSSS arranges international conference for leading sailing clubs

In the exotic spring sun, KSSS hosts the 10th edition of the European and South American ICOYC Conference. Over 20 of the world's leading sailing clubs visit Saltsjöbaden and Sandhamn at the end of the week and jointly discuss topics such as Olympic campaigns, sailing operations and commercial values.

From Thursday 16 May to Saturday 18 May, with an optional extra day at Sandhamn on Sunday, the Grand Hotel in Saltsjöbaden will be visited by commodores and general managers from World’s premier sailing clubs to learn from each other and discuss the future of sailing.

ICOYC stands for "The International Council of Yacht Clubs" and is an association of the world's leading yacht clubs. With events and opportunities for club members, leadership and professional staff, ICOYC exists to foster collaboration between these clubs so that each can be empowered to improve their home organization while making a positive contribution to yachting worldwide.

The format is mixed between presentations and panel discussions with plenty of time for social interaction between participants. Add to that lunches and dinners at various restaurants around Saltsjöbaden and incredibly nice weather, and you get a very creative climate for friendship and fruitful discussions.

At the same time as the delegates from visiting sailing clubs discuss sailing, KSSS arranges an ambitious program for accompanying partners with visits to museums in town, guided tours and good meals.

Many thanks to participants from near and far, KSSS office staff who worked hard to make this conference possible and of course Enya Ahldin who assisted in the work.
